Where to Stay
Make Como your home for the weekend
If possible, stay in Como City. We strongly recommend selecting accommodation close to the city centre. And if you are wondering — yes, Como has a city centre.
Staying in Como lets you fully enjoy the city on foot, which is truly the best way to experience it. From there you can walk to the Duomo, stroll the lakefront promenade, explore charming piazzas, enjoy cafés and restaurants, browse local boutiques, and reach the ferry dock without needing taxis or transfers.
For Friday you can take a ferry from Como to Moltrasio for a 2-minute walk to Valeria and Paolo’s new home — or it’s a 10-minute drive away. For Saturday we’ll be picked up in Como City harbour by traditional Riva boats to enjoy a scenic lake cruise to the party. After dancing the night away, shuttle vans will take everyone back to Como.
Fair warning: Lake Como traffic in summer is real. And taxis are playing hard to get. Book ahead, or make friends with the ferry system. Trust us on this one.
